Kamal / Kandy Martinez

Kandy Martinez is a Moroccan DJ and producer based in Switzerland, and one of the former star residents of the famous El Divino in Ibiza. His house carries a recognisable signature: a marriage of electronic elements with ethnic and tribal sounds that few producers master with such precision. Under his alias Kamal, he explores a deeper, more underground side of dance music, as heard on his release “Detroit Never Die” on Mr Mike’s Vertige label. This dual identity is the richness of his sets, which set dancefloors alight around the world.
